Do You Know What I Carry in My Pockets?

Do you know what I carry in my pockets?
Ipod touch, phone, wallet, pens and keys.
Normal things a person carry, but do you know what I am really carrying?

My phone vibrates almost shaking my leg
I don't hesitate to answer it.
My friend is feeling down and I'm trying my hardest to save both our lives.
Shes upset in tears
and I'm being ask things that to me don't matter
unless my friend is safe and sound. 

You're talking to me
and yet my head is down at the phone
my mind miles away to where my friend is
I don't mean to be rude
but I can't lose a friend.

My ipod stops the music
something is wong
and the world is being cruel.
The teacher asks a simple question
and I can care less what the answer is
cause I'm more worry about my friend.
Only I can calm them down
with words I might not have.
But somehow I found those words.

Do you know what I carry in my pockets?
I carry my friends when the world is against them
and they are feeling all alone.
I carry their hearts as they carry mine when I allow them to.

I hold my phone in hand making sure I don't miss a virbratetion
cause if I do it could cost me more than
time itself.
I led my ear so there are less scars
so another day can come
for both of us.

I carry my phone and ipod
cause I know how important it is for me to answer them
that they can be the difference between life and death
the differenace between tears and a smile.
