Where Home is...

Home
Most people know it well,
can tell you exactly
where it is,
the address,
everything.
Home
I don't know where it is
hopping from place to place
its annoying
frsaucating.
I don't know what to say
when people ask where are you from.

Home
That one place
where you can be yourself
and not be judge
cause the people
love you no matter what.
The one place
you feel love
you feel that you belong.

Home
You would laugh
be confuse
where I call home.
It is where my family
is not made by blood,
but by bonds
where it is always with me,
where I am an adoptive daughter of many.
Where I am also a friend of many.
I can physically visit them
when time permits it.

Home
Is inside me.
Home
Is for me
my heart.
Where love comes from
and where it is received.
True there is nothing like
I'm sorry
no place like home
physically being around
those people,
but as we move forward in life.

We keep the memories of our past
but we keep the people
that matter the most
and choose to stay around.
We keep them
with us in the
present and future.

This doesn't mean
we are suck in the past
it means
we are willing to move forward,
but keep them in our hearts.
We choose not to be
hold back by them,
but to give us
the drive to keep
moving forward.

This is for those
that make my home
in my heart
and who give me
the drive to never give up.
Thank you
for adopting me
even those its not official.
Thank you
for a place
where I wan to tap
my feet together saying
"There is no place like home."

My Cocaine

You taste so good
You are my cocaine,
my drug.
I never want to give you up.
Without you I wouldn’t know what to do.
You are my escape,
You make everything make sense
In this crazy world.

So many make you,
There are some bad kinds of you
and then there’s the insanely good kinds.
By now I can tell which one is which.
Like Drug dealers know the difference
in fake cocaine from the real thing.

You are my high
Shoot me up
I want another
Keep them coming.
I never want to stop
but I do so I don’t lose my need for you.

I’m amazed that my blood isn’t your color
cause of how much of you is in me.
You are the reason I rarely get sick.

People wonder how I can take
 minutes and  the dosage size
Of you in less than an hour.
You are liquid.
You are orange.
You are my drug.
You are orange juice.

The Presence of a Goddess

                                                                 To Cyndi Lauper
Oh, My God!
I’ve been to many concerts
David Cook, Kelly Clarkson,
Sick Puppies, Shinedown,
and Nickelback in Atlantic City.
Bon Jovi in Hershey.
All using pyrotechnics, high technology
to win their fans.

Come Back to Me.
Breakaway.
Maybe.
 Second Chance.
If today was your last day.
Shot through the heart.
All world renown.
All iconic.
You legendary.

Oh, My God!
Your songs are older than me,
I’m the youngest in the crowd.
Your voice travels through time.
Spot light makes you shine
only cause the lights are down.
Talking to us
getting us pump.
You turn around.
The music starts.
The lights go on.
Gracing us with your voice.

The cameras and recorders come out.
You don’t just sing
You get right up and personal.
Controlling the stage.
Giving us a show
with a goddess presence.

You confuse your band
changing the set
making us laugh
we just listen along.
 Floating on the stage,
God isn’t the only one
who can walk on water.

You listen for perfection
in only things you can hear.
Playing the first note
I know the song,
pulling my recorder out
to treasure this moment.
The crowd sings along.
You take a breather.
Another note, another song,
these lyrics from your soul
into my heart.

Watching you
listening to you
you are a goddess.
A goddess of music.

An iconic
World renown
Goddess.
Who has no need
for high technology
cause she doesn’t have to win
her fans
cause they already
love her.

Time After Time,
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
and may our
True Colors shine.

Yes World

Yes world
They screw up
Yes world
They are your joke
Yes world
You're severing them apart
Yes world
They fight being their own knight
Yes world
They have their wounds
Yes world
They camouflage with the dark
Yes world
They have tears
Yes World
They just hide them away from you
Yes world
They fail you
Yes world
You set low standards for them to pass
Yes world
You hit them low
Yes world
You play with their heart like Jeff Dunham with his puppets
Yes world
They are bleeding
Yes world
They are stained
Yes world
They feel
Yes world
They are a monster
Yes world
They are cursed

Premiere Day

On the red carpet
Seeing the cameras
The flashes going off.
I knew all this was happening around me before
What a difference.
You are standing next to me.

Fires trucks, police cars, ambulance
Rush by
I look at you
That look you always gave me
Melts my heart more now that I see it.
I have to go
You beg me to not go for this one time
Enjoy yourself
Just this one night.
I don’t give me
Give you a hug
I leave.

Come back with holes in my clothes
With black charcoal covering them.
I take my seat next to you
You grab my hand
I can tell that you thought I wasn’t going to make it in time.

The movie starts
My eyes start to hurt.
Our favorite part coves on
Where I saw you for the first time.
I look back at you
A tear runs down your check
The light goes out on me
For the second time
And for the last.
