To A New Found Friend

There's this person
I didn't know her
Never really saw her.
She was one of people that would say hi and wave at me
In passing
I would say hi back.
Then go to myself
“Who the hell was that?
Do we even know that person?”

One day I was coming back from a class
Got in the elevator
Hold it for this person.
She starts talking to me
About a hall event
And I'm thinking why she talking about this
Slowing I piece it together.
Asked her if she is a RA
Told me she is the RA for my hall.

Now getting to know her
Slowly letting her in
Nervous.
Our first talk was difficult
Cause of commutation problems
By me,
we were and still never know if we are ever talking about the same thing,
We’re working on it.

I found
She is cool
Funny
Nice & caring
I found that
I am honor
She calls me
Her friend.
